Effective respect for the environment

We understand that, in the sectors where Alucoat Conversion maintains its activity, you can not make only a simple declaration of intentions, a pragmatic component is needed, so all our environmental actions have practical implications. Everyone is collected in an Environmental Protection System that is certificated by ISO 14001.

The principles of our Environmental Policy:

• Identification of risks: we identify the possible impacts on the environment that our production processes of coating & printing might have, and we do this through the control and reduction of noise levels, control of gaseous and liquid wastes.
• Training our team: we promote the implementation of actions in regard to training, awareness and motivation for our employees to successfully implement environmental measures in their daily work.
• We pledge to respect the environment against the production or profit we choose our raw materials and we design our products, processes and machinery in this regard.
• Performance: it has no sense to have environmental statements if we do not put them into practice, so we include the environmental factor as an element of management, investment, control and monitoring.

As a practical consequence of this policy, Alucoat has the highest Termoreactor built in Spain so far in our industry: this plant of oxidation of volatile organic compounds has the capacity to process and purify a waste volume of 160,000 Nm3/h. Thus that, Alucoat submits with the European IPPC Standard about control of gaseous emissions. Each emission from the plant passes through this equipment in order to eliminate any impact to the atmosphere resulted in the processes of printing & coating of aluminium foil.

Alucoat Conversion has also built a Liquid Effluent Treatment Plant, with a system of physical-chemical treatment of water used in the production. This plant eliminates any environmental impact of wastewater emission.

We try that the processes of manufacture of our products (lacquered aluminium for cooling fins, lacquered aluminium for building products, lacquered and printed aluminium for the pharmaceutical industry, lacquered aluminium for food packaging and semi-finished lids and printed aluminium for catering, and aluminium honeycomb); have the less impact over the environment.
