Characteristics:

ALUNID ® Honeycomb is sold in 3 forms (from Ø6 a Ø19mm):

  • Block
  • Expanded sheets (EX)
  • Unexpanded slices (NEX)

ALUNID ® is produced in standard with a foil thickness of 50 and 70 microns (0,002" y 0,0028") and cell sizes 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" y 3/4" (from Ø6 a Ø19 mm).

We can obtain different densities and properties by combining the foil thickess and the cell size. Therefore optimising the material to your needs.

When used as a core material in a sandwich panel, ALUNID ® is:

  • Light
  • Resistant, strong in compression and shear
  • Incombustible
  • Recyclable
  • An electrical and thermal conductor
  • Extremely flat
  • Corrosion resistant
