bobina-prelac-introAlucoat® prelac is the designation for the last generation system on degreasing and chemical pre-treatment of aluminium foil. This pre-treatment is applied onto a line equipped with the best technology and it’s designed under the custom engineering concepts of ALUCOAT technical group. Its main advantages are the total dispose of residual oils on surface from lamination process as well as magnesium, manganese, among others that could be on surface and might cause problems on the anchorage of coating. More advantages:

  • 100% FREE  Chromium process (Cr+3, Cr+6).
  • Pre-treatment film based on organic polymer and composed of Zirconium and Molybdenum.
  • Finished with transparent film.
  • Brings super properties for the anchorage of coating according to ASTM-3359 directive.
  • Multiply corrosion resistance of aluminium.
  • Resistant improvement to MEK according to ECCA T11 directive.
  • Folding and Coating improvement for substrate according to ECCA T7 directive.
  • Adherence improvement for lacquers on Erichsen test, according to EN ISO 1520 directive.

Technical Data

Product description

Aluminium between 50 and 500 microns thick with a maximum wide of 1.600 mm.

Recommended alloys:

EN AW 8011A, EN AW 8006, EN AW 3005, EN AW 3105, (according to European Standards (EN 573-3)). Customer can specify its needs in order to choose the best thickness, alloy and temper of the metal.

Temper:

Hard and Semi-Hard tempered, with residual oils on surface from lamination process: O, H12, H18, H22, H24 and H26.
