insulax ®, the coated aluminium specially designed for building insulation structures applications, extends its product range with a new development jointly developed by the technical team of ALUCOAT and the collaboration of several universities.

New linfoil ® ALC Generation Easy Opening

Alucoat Conversion, specialists in foil and coil coating, has developed a new linfoil ® ALC generation, for coated lids for the food packaging industry, which allows a big reduction and optimization of raw materials increasing the performance and properties of the product.

linfoil ® ALC aluminium lids protect food preserving its organoleptic assets of aroma and flavor, thanks to its excellent sealing properties.

The new linfoil ® ALC generation offers amazing sealing solutions with high performance, that makes the use of this product particularly suitable for food packaging systems that require long preservation periods of time.

All this on different materials: tinplate, TFS, and polypropylene containers, thereby becoming the ideal choice when developing easy-open closures used for canned tuna, anchovies, olives, and salads for individual consumption.

ALUCOAT launches a new alloy for the packaging industry

The food packaging industry demands thickness reductions in packaging products, chasing a maximization and optimization that provides a higher performance of the products using less quantity of material in each container.

Therefore, the R & D department of ALUCOAT  has worked with a supplier for more than a year, coming up with a new alloy from the 5000 series with a higher amount of magnesium (Mg), achieving a significant reduction of material in each packaging and reducing the content of iron (Fe) increasing the resistance to corrosion.

With this new development, ALUCOAT offers its customers a significant saving in materials and at the same time provides better technical characteristics of the product. Indeed, an alloy with increased hardness and purity that keeps a rigid material with a thinner aluminium.

Alucoat ® cs BPA-free

The regulatory requirements within the food sector increases progressively impacting directly on food packaging systems and their raw materials.

ALUCOAT Conversion, specialists in aluminium high quality coil coating for various sectors including food packaging materials, is ahead of the rest of manufacturers becoming the first producer of aluminium coatings for food packaging 100% BPA (bisphenol A) free, in their product range of Alucoat ® cs.

The new Alucoat ® cs BPA Free is the result of three years of work, development, know-how and the cutting-edge of ALUCOAT. The mission of ALUCOAT has been always based in high quality products and services, obtaining the maximum food security in all its customers.

With this new release, ALUCOAT is underway in more than one year ban in France (Amendment of Act 2010-729 passed by the National Assembly) the use of this type of compound, which they consider to be harmful to health .

Currently, ALUCOAT is already providing this new product to European multinational food companies, by manufacturing high security products under most regulatory requirements.

Thanks to the close collaboration between various departments in ALUCOAT and some of aluNID ®’s most important customers the new honeycomb panel aluNID ® 1/8 has been conceived. The new product’s main feature is its cell size of 1/8 inches which provides the honeycomb with rigidity and resistance. ALUCOAT ’s main objective when launching this new product is to satisfy the needs of its most demanding customers and to complete the range of already existing products under the brand name of aluNID ®.
